The Way Back (AGW – Not Happy with the Science or the Outcome)

There is much to learn, or to become satisfied with the support offered, from this post. I find I do not agree with all that Dr Gray says, particularly his enthusiasm for nuclear power, but I do understand his reasons.

What is important are his thoughts on how the “science” applied to AGW is unsupported by valid logical thinking and processes and yet how it manages to still shape the world’s thinking and actions.

Really impressed by his understanding of the impossibility of establishing a meaningful average global temperature, whereby it becomes a joke to make political decisions on such data (my comment).

  1. omanuel says:

Regretfully, Dr. Vincent Gray is apparently still unaware that the integrity of education, science and constitutional government have been compromised since the United Nations was formed on 24 Oct 1945 out of fear and loathing of humans and the instinct of survival.

Fear and loathing that humans might destroy the world with forbidden knowledge of the energy that destroyed large parts of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 Aug 1945 have instead destroyed the integrity:

    _ a.) Public education
    _ b.) Government science, and
_ c.) Civilian control of government

The source of energy that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki is also the source of energy that

    _ d.) Made our elements
_ e.) Birthed the Solar System five billion years (5 Gyr) ago
_ f.) Sustained the origin and evolution of life after 3.5 Gyr ago, and
_ g.) Sustains every atom, life and world that exists in the Solar System today.

What a sad, sad state of affairs for science and society!

    With deep regrets,
    – Oliver K. Manuel
    Former NASA Principal
    Investigator for Apollo
