Music! A Life Support!

If the planet was populated only by music lovers, would there still be wars?

A weird post, but the thought has been with me all my life.
Certainly I am a pacifist, why are there so few and far between?
Why are there persons who are genetically created to be active starters, participators and supporters of wars?

Anyway, allow me to present an example of my sort of enjoyment and life support!

  1. Kenneth T. says:

Sadly not all music is “peaceful”, some inspires war.

While I like classical music— my other musical likes, is where it gets complicated

    • Agreed! I guess that my definition of “music” in fact simply includes only that which is pleasing to my own ears and feelings. That range, however, is wide but excludes a lot of modern non-musical noise and voicing. I believe that “musical” infers rhythmical and pleasing variety in notes.
Greig is one of many classic composers that pleases me.
In all cases in our experiences, differing responses by different persons must exist. I hope most readers will get my gist.

Much appreciate your following, likes and comments!

  2. An unusual relationship, war and music, but can be significant in reality –
decades ago “Peter, Paul and Mary” produces a relevant, significant, moving, truth- filled song “Where Have All the Flowers Gone”, understood by empathetic persons, apparently meaningless to the warmongers! Definitely deserving attention!
