Understanding the Exponential Function (Resources and Overpopulation)

“The greatest shortcoming of the human race is our inability to understand the exponential function.”

Here we find great wisdom, dealing with the fundamental issues facing our planet’s future. More to the point, our human civilization.

Bottom line – “We cannot let other people do our thinking for us”

I have long believed that our obsession with growth, (population, GDP, profits, dividends, assets), is illogical if based on non-sustainable resources. Completely sound logic but not for everyone, apparently. Here is the mathematical proof.

So many different issues affecting our lives and more importantly, our future generations, are made clear. Relatively simple basic facts enable us to connect to and understand the motivations, sometimes the lack of motivations, of our collective human race, that underpin the very survival of our civilization.

Population, decrease/hold/reduce?  No allowance is being made for the hugely different living standards of the various demographic and stage-of-development population groups. The overpopulation, already an issue, is not so much a factor as the disparity of living standards.

Ineptitude of scientific thinkers and reporting. So many scientists and published information are completely wrong or misleading. Countless examples in AL’s video prove the amazing degree of incorrect information promoted by supposedly educated and responsible people. Because of this he stresses that his students consider the facts and understand them! So should we!

Problem with carrying the mathematical growth rate too far. (Assuming it will be allowed to occur).  His hypothesis is that the end result is basically terminal. It assumes that no intermediate changes will occur. Fine when demonstrating his point, but he fails to consider that changes can be expected to take place in practice that will alter the trend and result in departures from his mathematical models.

An unchanging goal of growth rates would result in a complete collapse of civilization, but many practical responses will at least slow or delay an otherwise inevitable end point.

NWO agenda explained. Now we come to the nitty gritty. (Spell check thinks this should read “nutty gritty” 🙂 ) Here is the justification for a rapid reduction in population growth, which is taken further by the NWO powers who go for a reduction, not just in growth rate, but of the actual population total. “After all, it was Bill Gates himself who stated as much publicly when he said,

“The world today has 6.8 billion people… that’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.””

I believe that we can reasonably agree with Prof. Bartlett that there is a serious survival problem resulting from our not understanding the mathematics when correctly applied to resources and human population, and, of course, not doing much about the understanding. But there are those who already do understand but consider that the solution is world government and a reduction in “useless eaters”, a redistribution of wealth and resources to the the hierarchy, following the right hand column of the “population options” above, and achieving survival of the richest.

Other options are more palatable, but extremely difficult to adopt. Whatever measures are contemplated, they must achieve the reduction of population growth rate to zero, or even a negative if done humanely, (China has attempted this with a “one child” policy, not without issues, but for the correct reasons).  A cessation of wars would have the reverse effect but would provide our children’s children with a reason to respect their forebears, (as distinct from thinking we were insane). All the resulting manpower and funding would facilitate clean water and healthy food resources for the poorest and the development of a sane, humane world.

Well, I can dream, can’t I?

Surprising Truths the Processed Food Industry Hides from You

Do you eat processed meats like hamburgers, thinking you’re eating mostly real beef? Chances are you’re way off in your assumption. One type of meat process involves soaking butchered carcasses in hot water with added enzymes. This has the effect of releasing about another five percent of meat-like substance from the carcass.

This is then added into cheap burgers, sausages, and other processed meat products. Enzyme-treated blood products are also routinely added to lower-end processed meat products.

“What really got me were the things that seemed to be really natural… For example, I was amazed to find that there is a kind of coloring known as the cloudifier. It makes your juice look as though it’s got more real fruit juice in it because it creates that hand-pressed, natural look,” she says.

Enzymes are used in a number of different ways in food processing. For example, when eggs are pasteurized, they lose their color. An enzyme is therefore added that brings back the color of the egg.

There are at least 150 enzymes being used in food manufacturing, and they’re rarely ever listed on the label. According to Joanna, there’s typically at least one enzyme-modified ingredient in every processed food. Breads usually have five enzyme-modified ingredients.

Enzymes by themselves aren’t intrinsically toxic. They’re merely functional proteins composed of natural amino acids. But what they do is they mask and deceive you about the underlying process, fooling you into believing that you’re buying something that you really aren’t.

“The classic one is a mature cheese flavor. If you matured cheese the proper way, then you have cheese. You keep it for three months or six months, even longer, to develop that nice, mature flavor. But you can do that in a few days with an enzyme. You can create a fake flavor.”

Most Processed Food Is an Imitation of the Real Thing

The goal of food technologists is to reduce the amount of real ingredients by finding cheap substitutes that mimic the authentic food. In doing so, chemicals and processes are used that turns the end product into something that looks, smells, and tastes like “good food,” but really is anything but. Rarely is real butter used for example, because it’s expensive. So they use additives that make the food taste like butter, but at a fraction of the cost.

“But they will still put in enough butter that they can put on the ‘made with butter’ label,” Joanna notes. “Another thing I discovered is that most processed food wouldn’t look at all attractive if it didn’t have colorings added. It would be gray and beige…

Flavorings do two jobs in processed food. They cover up the unpleasant taste that comes as a result of processing. Flavor masking is one of the main reasons why food industries use flavorings. But they also use flavorings to try and give food flavor when it’s been through a manufacturing process that has totally stripped it of flavor.

They have to try and add back something that sort of resembles the flavors that have gotten lost. Because food processing is high temperature and high pressure. Something has to be done to them to make them taste better again. That’s the logic of flavoring and coloring.”

As a reader commented, no quantitative information to provide any idea of the scope these dangers. Nevertheless, the Chernobyl and Fukushima “accidents” are documented and provide a great deal of basis for concern.
Concern that is not evident in at or in any government level.
Concern that is conspicuous by its absence from the mass media, who seem to have lost their drive for investigative journalism. (Too much power and influence form above?).
No matter how dangerous this source of death and ill-health, however real, tends to be over-shadowed by our obsession with wealth and control and annihilation of any obstacles in the way.
Nevertheless, awareness of any dangers to our health should not be obscured from the public, in a decent and intelligent civilization.

22 Very Inconvenient Climate Truths

This paper is a large, (in bulk and content), contribution to a proper understanding of global climate science. Actual trends, supposedly warming and supposedly doing so because of increasing atmospheric CO2 due to man’s burning of fossil fuels, have not been established to any confident degree of scientific validity.
Warming trends that can be detected are not necessarily absolute, but still clearly show the IPCC global temperature projections to be significantly incorrect. The updating of the theme name from “global warming” to “climate change” is virtually an admission that evidence of a warming trend is insufficient basis for alarm.
The alarm with its political and financial ramifications is shown to be scientifically invalid.
Posts like this will hopefully give the public an incentive to seriously consider their adherence to the media hype that promotes an unsubstantiated alarm.

Harvard Trained Immunologist Demolishes California Legislation That Terminates Vaccine Exemptions

An Open Letter to Legislators Currently Considering Vaccine Legislation from Tetyana Obukhanych, PhD in Immunology

Re: VACCINE LEGISLATION

Dear Legislator:

My name is Tetyana Obukhanych. I hold a PhD in Immunology. I am writing this letter in the hope that it will correct several common misperceptions about vaccines in order to help you formulate a fair and balanced understanding that is supported by accepted vaccine theory and new scientific findings.

Do unvaccinated children pose a higher threat to the public than the vaccinated?

It is often stated that those who choose not to vaccinate their children for reasons of conscience endanger the rest of the public, and this is the rationale behind most of the legislation to end vaccine exemptions currently being considered by federal and state legislators country-wide. You should be aware that the nature of protection afforded by many modern vaccines – and that includes most of the vaccines recommended by the CDC for children – is not consistent with such a statement. I have outlined below the recommended vaccines that cannot prevent transmission of disease either because they are not designed to prevent the transmission of infection (rather, they are intended to prevent disease symptoms), or because they are for non-communicable diseases. People who have not received the vaccines mentioned below pose no higher threat to the general public than those who have, implying that discrimination against non-immunized children in a public school setting may not be warranted.

IPV (inactivated poliovirus vaccine) cannot prevent transmission of poliovirus (see appendix for the scientific study, Item #1). Wild poliovirus has been non-existent in the USA for at least two decades. Even if wild poliovirus were to be re-imported by travel, vaccinating for polio with IPV cannot affect the safety of public spaces. Please note that wild poliovirus eradication is attributed to the use of a different vaccine, OPV or oral poliovirus vaccine. Despite being capable of preventing wild poliovirus transmission, use of OPV was phased out long ago in the USA and replaced with IPV due to safety concerns.

Tetanus is not a contagious disease, but rather acquired from deep-puncture wounds contaminated with C. tetani spores. Vaccinating for tetanus (via the DTaP combination vaccine) cannot alter the safety of public spaces; it is intended to render personal protection only.

While intended to prevent the disease-causing effects of the diphtheria toxin, the diphtheria toxoid vaccine (also contained in the DTaP vaccine) is not designed to prevent colonization and transmission of C. diphtheriae. Vaccinating for diphtheria cannot alter the safety of public spaces; it is likewise intended for personal protection only.

The acellular pertussis (aP) vaccine (the final element of the DTaP combined vaccine), now in use in the USA, replaced the whole cell pertussis vaccine in the late 1990s, which was followed by an unprecedented resurgence of whooping cough. An experiment with deliberate pertussis infection in primates revealed that the aP vaccine is not capable of preventing colonization and transmission of B. pertussis (see appendix for the scientific study, Item #2). The FDA has issued a warning regarding this crucial finding.[1]

Furthermore, the 2013 meeting of the Board of Scientific Counselors at the CDC revealed additional alarming data that pertussis variants (PRN-negative strains) currently circulating in the USA acquired a selective advantage to infect those who are up-to-date for their DTaP boosters (see appendix for the CDC document, Item #3), meaning that people who are up-to-date are more likely to be infected, and thus contagious, than people who are not vaccinated.
