Learn about Barcodes – Food Safety – Country of Origin

An email from a friend, worth serious consideration. Passing on the opinions and recommendations without prejudice, so to speak. Of course, make up your own minds, as I expect all readers to do about all information on this blog.

A week or so ago, Current Affair did a Report on frozen vegetables imported from New Zealand ..  As it turns out if it is a Coles or Woollies home brand there is a more than good chance that the product has come from China ..  Products made by McCain’s, Birdseye and other supposed reputable companies from New Zealand are now purchasing vegie products from China and selling that product under their name.
Basically check where it is produced by the comments on the back of the pack and if it says produced from New Zealand and Imported product it has Chinese vegies in it, put it back on the shelf.  I would even go as far as to say, even if it has product of New Zealand on it, I would be suspicious about where those vegies in that pack come from.  I suppose to play it safe unless it has been grown and packed in Australia stay away from it unless you don’t mind digesting poisons.

Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products ‘made in china’, so they don’t show from which country it is made.  However, you may now refer to the barcode.  Remember, if the first 3 digits are 690 through to 695, then it is Made in China .  Don’t forget, Hong Kong is now China , too.

WATCH WHAT YOU BUY.  ESPECIALLY ‘HIGHLINER’ FISH PRODUCTS; all come from China, even though the box says ‘product of Canada’, it is from China and ‘processed’ in Canada, that is, only the coating is added and packaged in Canada.  The fish are raised in pens using chemicals that are banned in Canada as cancer-causing but legal in China .  This was exposed on CBC TV’s ‘Marketplace’.
Please think before buying anything from China .
Avoid buying all processed food packaged in China .  Anything goes!  We just don’t know what else is in those packages.  Unlike the United States and Canada (and Australia , Germany , France , Italy , Great Britian et al).  China does not have laws regulating food processing.
Basically, do not buy any processed food from China .  This includes Hong Kong.  MANY companies are using a Hong Kong address to avoid this type of image reputation.

They Write the Music, We Enjoy IT. Happy New Year!!

I sat here intending to follow the last post with another ‘summary’  type, a sort of compilation to cram lots of links and information instead of several individual posts which, of course take considerably more time.

The other summaries are potentially:

Global Warming Alarmism – IMHO a scam having little relativity to true science, based on a political agenda and achieving very little except political and financial control over gullible countries.

Then there are the topics of New World Order, Radio Wave pollution, Smart Meters,  warmongering and regime changes, water and food controls all intermingled with each other and health in the big picture. To these can be added Nuclear Radiation dangers, freedom (or otherwise), of the Press and the people, and a few more, all providing reasons for pessimism about the future.

Then, a fortuitous receipt of an article from ‘Wake Up World’ changed my goal completely. After all, pessimism is hardly the way to start off a new year and this post “9 Healing Benefits of Music” by Paul Lenda has reminded me of the importance of music in my own life and the belief that is capable of uniting people and nurturing friendship and joy, the antithesis of the rampant destruction of human life and well-being.

Music… loved, cherished, and admired by humans for countless ages. It’s shaped culture and society in very profound ways. It has started social revolutions and shifts in collective consciousness. There is a magical feeling that can come from music and its enchanting spell has affected billions of people in sometimes life-changing ways, as it continues to do to this day.

Health Issues – A Summary of Interesting Posts from Impressive Blogs

My blogging interests cover several fields, most of which relate to truth, justice and the prevalence of mainstream media and even scientific related documentation to mislead the public.

Unfortunately, there exists a virtually endless number of examples, creating a dilemma for me to try and do justice to these issues directly on this blog.  Thus, as I am occasionally wont to do, a compromise is to publish what I see as important and relevant, posts in summary rather than individually.

One of my main topic fields is Health. There are a number of what I judge to be reliable and convincing blogs – a few examples of their recent posts adds some content here but also brings the blogs to readers’ attention for further reading and perhaps they might appear worth following themselves.

Even within the “Health” field there are several themes – Vaccination, Drugs and Medications, Foods, Fats and Heart Disease, GMO risks, Water Supply contamination and Exercise are examples. Then there exists the huge field of natural medication and supplements.  All offer contentious aspects, sufficient for a great deal of discourse and a stream of internet articles, many provide a sound basis for separate books being published.

In all cases the mainstream scientists, product manufacturers and medical practitioners desperately defend their adherence to traditional theory and practices. In all cases valid critical questions are being asked without satisfactory and logical and convincing responses. In several, if not many cases, clear evidence of agenda bias and influence exist, trending to serious corruption and influence right to government levels.

Hopefully this is a fitting contribution to the internet publishing world and a worthy acknowledgement of some very impressive blogs. Hopefully appropriate towards completing the 2013 endeavours in the name of “Truth and Justice”.

nsnbc , – Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant operator TEPCO reports that a record 1.9 million bequerels per liter of beta ray emitting radioactive substances at the Fukushima Daiichi reactor no. 2 have been detected along with the radioactive isotope cesium which was detected in groundwater at reactor no. 4. TEPCO fears that more of the radioactive water will leak into the Pacific Ocean.

We are reminded of the power of the pharmaceutical industry, its influence on governments and medical practitioners, its rapacious desire for profits and the unreliability of research studies and media affected by bias and influence.

The National Institute of Health recently announced an expansion of its funding of nine Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units with an annual budget of $135 million dollars of government money. Each of the nine research centers can compete with each year for the next seven years for a portion of this funding. [1]

The effort to decrease disease outbreaks by increasing the funding of vaccine studies is misguided. Financial and medical resources could be better spent focusing on the underlying causes of illnesses. Functional medicine has established that most diseases are caused by nutritional deficiencies and toxic overload, which together suppresses the immune system, making one susceptible to disease. [2]

Vaccines Decrease Immune System Functioning and Fail to Prevent Disease

The National Institute of Health established Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units in 1962 to conduct hundreds of vaccination clinical trials. The VTEUs include Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital, Duke Medicine, Atlanta’s Emory University, the Group Health Research Institute in Seattle, Saint Louis University, the University of Iowa, Baltimore’s University of Maryland and Nashville’s Vanderbilt University. Clinical vaccine trials involve the following diseases: influenza, pneumonia, pertussis, haemophiles influenzae Type B infection, cholera, anthrax, malaria, tuberculosis, childhood vaccines and combination vaccines. While the idea that vaccinations can safely prevent disease is an attractive one, unfortunately research and data do not support this theory. Ironically, the actual impact of vaccinations is to increase one’s exposure to dangerous toxins and poisons, which weakens the immune system, making one more susceptible to disease.

There’s so much truth here — it’s the kind of thing that needs to be blasted across the front page of every newspaper and news website across the land. But there’s a reason that won’t happen…
