I am glad to see that Australia has one politician who represents the best interest of the people.

That is a rare find in this era.

    • Yes Oliver, politicians in Australia who see the world as it really is and who are prepared to speak their own minds are indeed, unfortunately, a rare breed,
But there again, they are not all that different from politicians in general, all over the Western World.
Elected Prime Ministers and their equivalents in other countries have become dictators who are “governed’ from higher influences, and who govern without concern for democratic principles.
Policy is not debated by our personal representatives, at least not effectively, and both leaders and politicians in general are bound by allegiances to their party, agreed ’causes’, or often corrupt and corrupting lobbyists.
Except when it comes to voting time, the ‘people’ are never the consideration.

Full marks to our “Alison Broinowski”.
