Everyone knows artificial sweeteners aren’t good for you, so why are people still eating them?

This article is from Sott.net, written by Doug DiPasquale.

It is reproduced here except for the introduction. The question that is asked in the title is valid. The answers are comprehensive, and the problem is made quite clear, from the dangers of the products to the manufacturer’s unsavoury methods of utilizing and marketing them.

First off, let’s allay any doubts anyone has left in their minds about whether or not this stuff is bad for you. It is. Aspartame, sucralose, saccharin, the pink packet, the blue packet, the yellow packet, “diet” this, that or the other – this stuff is all killing you slowly by poisoning you. Sayer Ji over at Green Med Info has written some great articles gathering the scientific research on these sweeteners here and here. This is the cold sober science on the subject, not raving internet fanaticism. Aspartame is 11% methanol by weight and methanol is a poison. Splenda is a “chlorocarbon, in the same family as deadly pesticides like DDT, insecticides, biocides, disinfectants like Chlorox Bleach, and WWI poison gas like dichlorourea,” to quote Sayer Ji on the subject. And before anyone protests, telling me that chemical similarities don’t mean anything and that a single molecule difference can entirely change the properties of a substance, which is true in some contexts, here’s Dr. James Bowden:

Any chlorocarbons not directly excreted from the body intact can cause immense damage to the processes of human metabolism and, eventually, our internal organs. The liver is a detoxification organ which deals with ingested poisons. Chlorocarbons damage the hepatocytes, the liver’s metabolic cells, and destroy them. In test animals Splenda [sucralose] produced swollen livers, as do all chlorocarbon poisons, and also calcified the kidneys of test animals in toxicity studies.”

Here’s a short list of some of the many effects consumption of artificial sweeteners have on the body (most of these are from animal studies):

Pointers to some Important Posts. What does the Future Hold for Us? A Brave New World?

Cover of "Brave New World"

Cover of Brave New World

Today I notice a number of TIP posts which tempt me to reblog. However, too many reblogs detract from the purpose of this blog to directly promote material and would swamp my own posts. This “compilation” is another way of getting it out there in a neat way.

We have a number of common readers, not implying that the readers are ‘common’, but that they are common to both blogs, so this is wasted on them. No harm done as we are reaching the maximum number of readers this way.

In keeping with the promotion of truth and justice, in particular regarding serious world issues, these following posts are presented.

“Austerity”: The 1%’s Global Battle Cry

A vital factor in the world’s future. The tool for controlling complete countries without going to war or inciting regime change. (Sometimes the methods are somewhat intermingled and confused). In the case of just ‘austerity’ where a country is bankrupt and has no hope of balancing the books, no matter how much austerity is applied, political control is relinquished to outside the country and that is that! Borrowing more money increases the bankruptcy level. Trying to repay the debt, or even just the interest, cannot logically be achieved by creating unemployment and destroying manufacturing and resources capabilities is a no-win situation. Inevitably, the country is driven back into a third-world status and general poverty. (Except for the leaders and bankers, sometimes the same people).

This TIP post provides some good coverage on many aspects of ‘austerity’ but I cannot see much in the way of solutions. The Labour/Socialist proposal is promising but requires submission from the government/leaders, as far I understand it. Workable? Hmmmm!

An Empire of Paranoia

The US finds itself in a self-imposed or self-generated social and financial decline of devastating proportions. This TIP post is a sort of overview of the relevant factors. I’ve already said plenty on this topic, search ‘Category’ “United States” if interested.

“I’m worried about the soul of our own country from the effects of what we do. That’s certainly on my mind.” – James Hillman, American psychologist. (R.I.P.), from the video, “James Hillman on Archetypal Psychotherapy & the Soulless Society.”

THE MADNESS OF A LOST SOCIETY 3

Here is a video commenting on the public’s response to the invasive and destructive factors of consumerism, propaganda and the unavoidable financial collapse.

A little girl asks her Daddy, “Who are the bad guys, Daddy?”  “I don’t know, love!”, She comments “I don’t like bad guys!” And that is the whole crux of this lost society theme.

Aldous Huxley, is quoted regarding his “Brave New World” novel, where he predicted that the “whole world would live under a frightful dictatorship” and he now says he is concerned that “this reality is maybe just around the corner”.

This is a full-on doomsday documentary with suggested personal solutions that seem to be only short term and optimistic, but then?? There are choices – choose to watch the video, choose to believe it, choose to adopt the suggested survival ideas, or not! Choose none of these things! Probably it won’t matter too much one way or the other. What happens, happens. Personal beliefs will not make the slightest difference.

Being prepared to believe in these possibilities might help but does not provide worthwhile solutions unless you have the capacity to create an independent lifestyle.

Who knows, we might all have fairy godmothers to rescue us. Many believe in God and the return of the Saviour and a new world of Peace and Love. The very antithesis of the above evidence and predictions. That would be really great. But there is a big IF in most people’s opinions.

(Due respects to TIP, but the 3 parts of this video series are available at Sott.net here.)

If these articles have not created some doubts and soul searching, there are two more of relevance to the possibility of the worst of these scenarios becoming true.

Gun BAN APPROVED by UN & Signed by Obama

This is another TIP post actually highlighting a number of individual articles concerning the banning and restricting private ownership of serious weapons. Another law change making a mockery of the US Constitution and its Amendments. The right to carry arms has long been the pride and measure of freedom held dear to Americans. This is being attacked, in fact beaten.

FEMA camps, Arming Government Utility Organizations and Fire-arm controls – Should we be concerned about these issues? Should we be scared?

Finally, a ‘Golden Rule’ post which besides mentioning the then proposed UN gun ban laws, reveals the frightening other-side of this security coin, the arming of State departments and organizations for reasons that are undoubtedly shaky and suspicious, and, the establishment of internment camp facilities.

As they say in the Classics – Go Figure!  Doomsday Conspiracy Theories or Possible/Probable Realities? How can one ignore or differently interpret the evidence presented?

Aussie Zionists training to fight for Israel

I have added a detailed comment to the TIP post.

To me there are questionable ramifications and issues involved. Another issue that I could have introduced is that of loyalty. When you live in one country but have divided loyalties, certainly for obvious reasons, but to what extent are prioritizing and acting on those loyalties justifiable, fair and reasonable? Especially as we are talking about persons taking up arms!

Australian PM forced to be neutral on Palestine vote

Palestine

Palestine (Photo credit: No Lands Too Foreign)

Julia Gilllard’s determination to vote ‘with’ Israel and the US is a clear indication of her agenda. She is a globalist. Any rhetoric about supporting a two state existence for Israel and Palestine is simply that and has no substance.

The fact that she has been forced by the Foreign office and colleagues to compromise by abstaining is fortunate for Australia and represents some semblance of democracy. Nevertheless, a true humanitarian approach would have seen a vote supporting Palestine. To suggest that abstaining  supports the peace process is pure nonsense.

In a scenario typical of “Yes, Prime Minister”, decisions are made independently of the public or humanitarian grounds, and are simply based on political and vote winning factors.

From the ‘Yahoo 7 News’:

Julia Gillard has relented to a Cabinet and backbench push and agreed that Australia will adopt a neutral line on a crucial United Nations vote to give greater status to Palestine – a move certain to anger Washington and Tel Aviv.

In a historic shift, Australia will abstain from a scheduled vote in the UN tomorrow granting observer status to the Palestinian Authority.

Australia had been under pressure from the US and Israel to vote against the change, warning it could harm the Middle East peace process.

_The West Australian _ understands the Prime Minister was told by several ministers in Cabinet on Monday night that Australia should abstain or vote yes.

Ministers Stephen Conroy and Bill Shorten supported the PM’s view that Australia should vote no. But Foreign Affairs Minister Bob Carr, Chris Bowen and Tony Burke – all members of the NSW Right – and Anthony Albanese and Martin Ferguson – both of the Left – argued that Australia should vote yes or abstain.

It is believed about five other ministers shared that view.

Views from both sides were expressed firmly and at the end of the meeting Ms Gillard decided Australia would vote no.

However, yesterday, after taking soundings from backbenchers, she changed her mind and relented.

It is understood Deputy PM Wayne Swan advised Ms Gillard that she should back down.

Many key marginal seats in western Sydney are now home to large Muslim populations and sitting Labor members face demands from constituents to take a more neutral line on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

CO2 Tax Australia – More Investments At Risk From Carbon Tax And Other Costs

Some Australians grasp the truth!

PA Pundits International

By Andrew Bolt ~

Didn’t the Australian Labor Government claim that Opposition leader Tony Abbott was reckless, alarmist and mendacious in warning its new taxes would drive away investment?

The local head of US energy giant Chevron, the biggest foreign investor in Australia, has warned $100 billion worth of projects are “hanging in the balance” due to soaring coats and declining confidence in the federal government’s policy settings…

Chevron Australia managing director Roy Kryzwosinski said resources projects in Australia were 40 per cent more expensive than in the US and its workforce was 60 per cent less productive than the US…

Mr Kryzwosinski today attacked the Gillard government’s move to introduce new transfer pricing measures on foreign investors which would be backdated to 2004…

The recent introduction of a carbon tax has imposed another additional cost not borne by overseas competitors. These costs add to the growing list of…

What’s Your Chocolate Ice-cream?

Stunning photo! I love the country, the water, the beauty of nature.

The story is inspiring. Such a welcome contrast to my serious posts. No, wrong, this is also a serious post, but my other recent ones are depressing. The beauty of nature is real and serious life matter. This post is seriously uplifting!

The philosophy – be prepared to be adventurous in your tastes, your thoughts and your beliefs. ( I got carried away with the beauty aspects and forgot to highlight the basic theme).

A Soros-Made “New World Order” Takes Shape at the UN

There is so much supporting evidence on the Internet, that I find it amazing that so few people are aware of current world trends in the setting up of a World Government (NWO).

Many that are aware, have difficulty in comprehending such undemocratic processes being introduced and gaining acceptance by countries’ leaders. I too cannot believe such a state being ‘born’ and put into action, from a human moral and ethics point of view. In the same way that I couldn’t conceive a militant attack on a private home and innocent people being murdered. The sort of thing that should only happen in movies! But no!, it’s a real life scenario.

If one reads the internet news, we learn that such things are really happening. Not any doubt about the authenticity of the reports. To reach a belief about the NWO existence and actions becomes a reality and we are horrified. Deny it all you like, either consciously or sub-consciously, sooner rather than later, you are likely to find this to be true.

Readers are invited to comment, refute or agree with this post, either per detail or overall concept.

Major multinational corporations and the financial and non-governmental organization network of George Soros have taken effective control of a number of United Nations functions within the UN Secretariat and within the organization’s specialized agencies. The goal of this alliance is to re-draw the map of the world for the benefit of the global elites and the “top 1 percent.” Continue reading

Russian Expert Predicts Obama Will Declare Martial Law in America by End of 2012

Now here is a thought-provoking article.

A prediction only, but what provoked it, what is the substance of it and what is the likelihood of it becoming true? If it wasn’t for the amount and thrust of the many Executive Orders and other public-unfriendly activities by Obama and associated people and organizations, this prediction could easily be dismissed as a genuine theory of conspiracy. Such a dismissal is not supported by the facts.

What does come from this article is the fact that people outside of America have solid views on the disastrous state of the American Nation and its behavioural patterns.  Views that are not obvious to most Americans observing from within apparently with ‘rose-coloured glasses’.

By Susanne Posel, theintelhub.com:

Igor Panarin, dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry School for future diplomats, believes that President Obama will announce martial law by the end of 2012.

He explains: “There’s a 55-45% chance right now that disintegration will occur.”

In 2009, Panarin lectured at the Diplomatic Academy where he stated that he believes that the US will begin to collapse in 2010.

He compared America to Nazi Germany and blamed the US for the global financial crisis that destroyed the Russian economy.

Panarin said that American society is in decline, referencing school shootings like Columbine. Combined with the banker bailouts in 2008 as proof that the US is no longer the global dominating economy, Paranrin believes that the American dream is over.

He asserts that mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will plunge America into a civil war that will center on the collapse of the US dollar.

Israel vs Gaza – some commentary courtesy Sott.net

This is the topic of the day.  That in itself means little as the mass media are just as likely to select something that affects one person but is newsworthy and spectacular.

In this case, however, it might be the precursor to World War III. Even though the details are maybe more political than profound, contain more lies than truth, they still have enormous significance.

Here are 3 Sott.net posts relating to the Israeli – Gaza conflict that need to be read in order to balance the propaganda scales.

Elites Will Make Gazans of Us All By Chris Hodges.

Gaza is a window on our coming dystopia. The growing divide between the world’s elite and its miserable masses of humanity is maintained through spiraling violence. Many impoverished regions of the world, which have fallen off the economic cliff, are beginning to resemble Gaza, where 1.6 million Palestinians live in the planet’s largest internment camp. These sacrifice zones, filled with seas of pitifully poor people trapped in squalid slums or mud-walled villages, are increasingly hemmed in by electronic fences, monitored by surveillance cameras and drones and surrounded by border guards or military units that shoot to kill. These nightmarish dystopias extend from sub-Saharan Africa to Pakistan to China. They are places where targeted assassinations are carried out, where brutal military assaults are pressed against peoples left defenseless, without an army, navy or air force. All attempts at resistance, however ineffective, are met with the indiscriminate slaughter that characterizes modern industrial warfare.

The world must stand up against psychopaths in power, and most importantly stand up against the psychopathic regime in Israel! Ken O’Keefe nails it again

See the video here.

An Israeli speaks out against the crimes of her government

Zoya Klebanova: “I am ashamed to be an Israeli. There, I said it. And yes, I know better than most that there are many good and kind people in Israel. But what is happening right now in Gaza in the name of those good people CANNOT be tolerated, because it goes against everything humane and decent.

Yes, there are deaths on the Israeli side as well, but despite the heartbreak and tragedy experienced by the families of the victims, it’s important to understand that the amount of pain and suffering experienced by the Palestinians is infinitely greater, and it’s the responsibility of all of us to speak out against it!

We forgot the lessons of the past, and because of that, because of our lack of responsibility, ignorance and inaction, we allowed psychopathic leaders and their twisted ideologies to take hold of our own perception of reality. But if we could just stop for a moment and think, we would clearly see that this situation is not about “who fired first” and “how many rockets” (although, research shows that Israel was the aggressor in most past cases, including this one), but about the basics, like human decency, conscience, and not having blood on one’s hands after our government (“oops, again”) is murdering children and calling it ‘self-defense’.
And that’s the bottom line, that I, as an Israeli, even if I didn’t pull the trigger, will still have blood on my hands if I see what is happening and stay silent.”
