9/11 Explained in 5 Minutes.

Oversimplified but a very revealing summation. What could be called a “telling story”.

“Take away fear, and the battle of Freedom is half won.” – William Ralph Inge: The End of an Age; pg. 150.
“At long last, however, I feel that I have come to some understanding of why man is the most fortunate of living things and, consequently, deserving of all admiration; of what may be the condition in the hierarchy of beings assigned to him, which draws upon him the envy, not of the brutes alone, but of the astral beings and of the very intelligences which dwell beyond the confines of the world. A thing surpassing belief and smiting the soul with wonder. Still, how could it be otherwise? For it is on this ground that man is, with complete justice, considered and called a great miracle and a being worthy of all admiration.” – Giovanni Pico della Mirandola: Oration on the Dignity of Man.

The Triumph of Conspiracy Theories

All too true. Part of the brainwashing of the public is to label real conspiracies as “conspiracy theories”. Immediately conveying a slur against the conspiracy believers and psychologically influencing the gullible.

The Globalization of NATO: The Roadmap to “Post 9/11 Madness”

The Globalization of NATO: The Roadmap to “Post 9/11 Madness”

Repeated here, from “Review of “The Globalization of NATO” by Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya”, By David Swanson,  Global Research

To your average educated careful consumer of U.S. news media, our militarism looks like ad hoc reactionary responses.  A crisis flairs up here.  We “intervene” there.  An irrational foreign dictator threatens the peace over yonder.  We get into wars because we have no choice, and then continue them because ending them would be somehow even worse than continuing them.

In fact, there is a method to the madness.  I don’t mean just the pressure that President Eisenhower warned us would be created by massive military spending.  I mean that the war planners have planned far ahead.  They have lists of upcoming wars.  (In 2001, according to Wesley Clark, the Pentagon sought wars in the coming years with Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran.  Tony Blair independently confirmed a similar list.)  They invent the public excuses for those wars as the need arises.  The actual motivations are not humanitarian, but driven by a crazed desire to dominate the world’s economies, waterways, and fossil fuels.

Holding truth gently

An apt post in this time of disparities of beliefs. Disparities which play a major role in several absolutely vital issues affecting the future of our global civilization.

Firstly we have the current topic of the “War on of Terror”. The cause of military mayhem, war crimes, murder and civilian devastation.

Secondly, the “war on Carbon”. The selected justification for recreating global political and financial upheavals, actually creating global chaos.

Thirdly, the “Global Financial Crisis”, still real and threatening to bring down the current financial system in an almighty crash.

All these issues suffer from the inability of the appropriate people to see or accept reality. Their concept of truth is such that it is in the eyes of the beholder. As this article wisely suggests, rigid adherence to perceived truths can be detrimental.

Journey Through the Chrysalis

“Truth is best served by recognizing a viewpoint as only a viewpoint, and refraining from taking that extra step of regarding it as true to the exclusion of all other views. In other words, all views—even correct views—are best held gently, rather than grasped firmly.” ~Andrew Olendzki

I was raised in a faith tradition that believed that there was one truth, one right viewpoint, and the goal of life seemed to be grasping that one true viewpoint as firmly as possible.  As I’ve gotten older, I’ve had to let go of that surety. Not only am I less sure that it is possible for me to know the absolute truth of anything, but I am also more convinced that clinging to a viewpoint with that kind of ferocity makes it less likely that those with other views will be able to get beyond my attitude enough to even hear my…

Debunking the cholesterol myth and cultivating true heart health

A timely post from Sott.net by Carolanne Wright, continues the “argument” that mainstream medical authorities may be incorrect in their “war” on cholesterol. Particularly in the insistence of life-long use of statin drugs when the scientific basis for such a decision is seriously under scrutiny.

(NaturalNews) Cholesterol has received plenty of negative media over the last decade as the reason behind heart attack and arterial disease. Several pivotal studies have shown that cholesterol is not the cause behind problems of the heart as once thought. With a strange twisting of information, the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture cholesterol-lowering drugs have protected their $34 billion a year industry.

One of the most damaging myths in medical history

Cholesterol has been blamed for heart disease, but inflammation is actually the true culprit. When the body experiences an inflammatory response due to an injury, the system responds by constricting blood vessels, thickening the blood, and triggering cells to multiply in order to repair the damage. Cholesterol is produced because cells need it to form. Vascular plaque is created when a damaged artery needs to be repaired. When an individual is in a chronic state of inflammation, the risk of high blood pressure and heart attack greatly increases.

The Great Cholesterol Myth authors Jonny Bowden, Ph.D. and cardiologist Stephen Sinatra state:

“We believe that a weird combination of misinformation, questionable studies, corporate greed, and deceptive marketing has conspired to create one of the most damaging myths in medical history: that cholesterol causes heart disease.”

Through reviewing the data of numerous studies, Bowden and Sinatra found that cholesterol levels are not a good predictor of heart attacks; half of the people who have heart attacks have normal cholesterol; half of the people with high cholesterol have healthy hearts; keeping cholesterol levels low has few benefits. The Framingham Heart Study, which began in 1948 and continues to this day, distinctly shows that those who lived the longest were inclined to be in the highest cholesterol category.

The Lyon diet-heart study

Another study presents startling evidence regarding the role diet plays in heart health. Researchers in France during the 1990s decided to observe the effect different diets have on heart disease. Two groups of high-risk men participated. All had survived heart attacks. Everyone had high cholesterol and stressful lifestyles. They also smoked and did not exercise.

One group was asked to eat the American Heart Association diet which is low in fat and cholesterol. The second group ate a Mediterranean diet, rich in fish, omega-3 fatty acids, vegetables, and olive oil.

The study ended early because the results of the Mediterranean diet were so striking. Those in this group had a 70 percent reduction in fatal heart attacks, yet their high cholesterol levels remained the same throughout the study. They simply stopped dying.

As observed by Bowen in Better Nutrition magazine:

“The tragedy is that by putting all our attention on cholesterol, we’ve ignored the real causes of heart disease: inflammation, oxidation, stress, and sugar. Things we can actually control with foods, supplements and lifestyle changes – none of which have the costs or side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.”

Australia’s economy not so rosy!

Although this is reported in a major newspaper, the masses will still be unaware of the fragility of the Australian economy. They still seem prepared to accept politician’s rhetoric as gospel. Strange, after all the experience of politicians demonstrating their own agendas and little concern for the public.

The economy is fragile. The carbon tax is a seriously negative influence. The government is not really interested in the people. Politicians tell lies!
