New Zealand – Bitterly-cold winds, freezing temps and up to 1 metre of snow

This is a good counter to the warmist rave about all the “record” high temperatures.

As a single event it scientifically carries little weight, but warmists need to be reminded that such events are just as meaningful, or not, as record high temperatures, which they love to love.

Scientifically, cold events balance hot events to moderate the computed “global average”. Given the amount of fudging that goes on with records, that might be more academic than real.

BTW, in checking the potential ‘related articles’ offered by ‘wordpress’, a particular one discusses the use of the term “warmist”. That author’s conclusion is to accept that it is accurate on the basis that it is true if applied to a person believing the planet is warming, and that it is not necessarily an offensive term. This is encouraging to me as I see no offense intended in using the word to define a supporter of the AGW theories and I mean no offense when I use it in that context. On our side of the “climate change fence” so to speak, ‘skeptic’ is not offensive if it defines one who has, or sees, reason to doubt the science or agenda of the “warmists”. ‘Denialist’,  on the other hand, can be offensive because, although it is true that I, for example, deny the “truth” that is accepted by “warmists”, I am not denying much of what I would be being blamed for.

The Victorian Government: MANDATING AN UNLAWFUL ACT AND CREATING A POTENTIAL PUBLIC HEALTH CATASTROPHE

Here are the facts. The public are being shafted, again or still. Please become aware and active in opposing an illegal and harmful installation of equipment in order to effect control of your power by a higher authority.

Stop Smart Meters Australia

Occasionally SSMA receives letters from the public in relation to smart meters and the actions they have taken. We thought this letter deserves sharing.

The writer of this featured letter developed severe, debilitating symptoms from neighbouring smart meters and for this reason stopped smart meter installation on their property after receiving an initial letter from United Energy. Subsequently the Premier and Energy Minister, as well as United Energy, were informed of the writers dire health situation. Despite taking this action, the writer went on to receive two more letters from United Energy, advising of impending smart meter installation as per government ‘mandate’. At this stage the writer was quite traumatized by this persistence in the face of life ruining ill health and proceeded to write a letter of ‘undue harassment’ to both United Energy and the Energy Minister. The Energy Minister, via the DPI, was very quick to respond by…

BIS: Central Banks Cannot Continue to Prevent Global Financial Collapse

BIS

BIS (Photo credit: kyz)

Another important NSNBC post, by Susanne Posel (OC). The picture of the global financial crisis is many faceted and painted by many different  people and organizations in many different ways. It meanders between extremes – imminent collapse and assured recovery, depending on the vested interests and the honesty and intelligence of the painters.

According to my understanding of economics, admittedly very limited and basic, the health of an economy is indicated by its balance sheet and its cash flow, moderated by an assessment of future “trading”.

Once the debt value exceeds the asset value, a problem exists unless some certain and adequate future trading can reverse the downward trend, sufficiently to put the balance sheet back into a positive figure.

Throughout the world, however, debts are being treated as acceptable as long as a continued source of loans exists. Greater loans = greater debts and hang the “expense”.

Printing and/or borrowing money without creation of real assets and real jobs, changes nothing, except an increase in the lack of viability and the creation of false security.

So far, only the continuation of an uncertain state has been achieved, whilst the real state of the financial structure has been hidden from the public and many investors. If I can see this, they have no-one to blame except themselves.

Based on this logic, and of course, the reality, a day of reckoning is a certainty. Only the timing is uncertain. This post puts it clearly in the near future.

“In the BIS Annual Report for 2012 – 2013, it is claimed that “since 2007, actions by central banks have prevented financial collapse.”

With national economies imploding across the globe, the focus must be
“the economic and financial reforms needed to return economies to the
real growth paths authorities and the public both want and expect.”

Fiat currency is considered “borrowed time” and that more bond
purchases made by central banks will impede the world’s economies to
recover.

The BIS asserts that policymakers must consider the impact of
national monetary policy which is passed will affect the global markets.
In response, central banks must coordinate their efforts to relieve the
side-effects of each nation against the stabilization of global
markets.

Bernanke said that the Federal Reserve will begin the slowing down of the $85 billion buy-back program with an end in mid 2014.”

No solution is offered except in this statement (extract) – an obvious recommendation that has so far been ignored by major countries and seems unlikely to be adopted in the future.

“It is others that need to act, speeding up the hard but essential
reform and repair work to unlock productivity and employment growth.
Each country needs to tailor the reform agenda to maximize its chances
of success without endangering the ongoing economic recovery.”

What purpose in posting this? Wishful thinking I guess. There has been unending warning and clarifying information on the internet for years and the situation has gradually worsened. Why should that change?

The Obama Administration is a ‘State Sponsor of Terrorism’

“According to the 2001 Patriot Act, those “who pay for the bomb,” namely those who fund affiliates of Al Qaeda, are terrorists. In the words of George W. Bush on September 11, 2001, “We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them.”

Another glaring example of the hypocrisy and double standards of the USA and its allies.

COTO Report

osamaobamaBy Michel Chossudovsky
Global Research

A major transition in US counter-terrorism doctrine is unfolding. While Barack Obama, following in the footsteps of  George W. Bush, remains firmly committed to waging a “Global War on Terrorism” (GWOT), his administration is now openly supporting selected rebel units in Syria which are part of the Al Qaeda network.

Known and documented, Al Qaeda is a creation of the CIA, which has covertly supported the “Islamic Terror Network” since the heyday of the Soviet Afghan war.  While Al Qaeda is a US sponsored “intelligence asset”, a “New Normal” has been established.

Greeks reject US doublespeak on chemtrails and climate change

I thought this a good post because it introduces two topics not yet tackled on ‘The Golden Rule’, Chemtrails and HAARP. Geo-engineering is an activity almost certainly deserving a critical look. It is unlikely to be people friendly, regardless of what we are expected to believe. This COTO blog also deserves support in its own right for providing much needed commentary on the doings of the ‘ungodly’.

Wayne Hall, a Greece chemtrail activist, takes a look at how the US steers the discussion of climate change and geoengineering in this 15-minute video:

Climate modeling EPIC FAIL – Spencer: ‘the day of reckoning has arrived’

One does not need to be a scientist to understand the significance of these graphs. Whether you choose the linear trends or the 5 year averages, it is clear that the models FAIL.

What seems to be hard for the warmist “scientists” and supporters to understand is that this means that the climate change (“CO2 means warming”) “science” FAILS to be valid. No amount of rhetoric or verbal abuse can alter the evidence and reasonable conclusion this post contributes.

The great cholesterol myth; unfortunate consequences of Brown and Goldstein’s mistake

University of Otago (Logo)

University of Otago (Logo) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

This post directs to an ‘Oxford Journals‘ article, author Dr Duncan Adams, Faculty of Medicine, University of Otago, discussing in detail the issue of the incorrect conclusion about blood cholesterol levels, even when fine-tuned down to the LDL component, being a major cause of arterial congestion.

Although there is a genuine association, high LDL level is shown to be an effect rather than a cause. Therefore, the practice of reducing LDL levels by medication is not justified and has brought about extensive prescribing of unnecessary risky medications such as statins, and misleading guidelines for dietary principles.

The following extracts present some main factors:

“Unfortunately, Brown and Goldstein failed to realize that it is the loss of a functional cholesterol receptor, causing impaired
ability to absorb and use cholesterol, which is the probable cause of the accelerated arteriosclerosis occurring in FH. Instead, they assumed that the cause is the high level of blood cholesterol, which ‘salts out’ into the arterial walls, causing the vascular impairment. This was an understandable mistake, because as mentioned above, the atheromatous plaques of arteriosclerosis contain cholesterol, which causes a bulge impinging on the lumen. In angioplasty, cardiologists use mechanical pressure to
flatten such bulges, with therapeutic benefit to the flow of blood. However, pathologists realize that deposition of cholesterol in the arterial walls seems to be secondary to hydrodynamic damage,7 followed by inflammation, with cell multiplication and somatic gene mutation.”

“Brown and Goldstein’s burst of fascinating information dazzled the medical profession, most of whom consequently accepted
the false cholesterol hypothesis. This has led to unfortunate consequences that include:

  1. Waste of money on misdirected research.

  2. Waste of money on blood cholesterol tests.

  3. Waste of money on statins.

  4. Malnutrition from lack of fat-soluble vitamins (A,D,K,E) present in butter, full-cream milk and animal fat but lacking in
margarine and skim milk (green-top bottles in New Zealand).

  5. Fear of eating eggs, contributing to unhealthy, starchy diets.

  6. Ricketts in middle-aged men from lack of vitamin D due to use of margarine and skim-milk.

  7. Distortion of the Dairy Industry, causing unnecessary marketing of skim milk.

  8. Distortion of the Meat Industry with unnecessary production of lean meat.”

Unfortunately, although this is authentic medical opinion, it is swamped by the enormous, runaway inertia built up within the specialists, pharmaceutical and food manufacturer systems, as a result of the initial conclusions by Brown and Goldstein.

I am not aware of any particular paper that falsifies what Dr Adams is telling us. There is  a lot of other information here and on linked sites that instil confidence in publishing this reference to the ‘Oxford Journals-Medicine-QJM: An International Journal of Medicine-Volume 104, Issue 10- Pp. 867-870

Syria Is Becoming Obama’s Iraq

Syria

Syria (Photo credit: ewixx)

From ‘nsnbc’, by Shamus Cook, some reality that the mainstream media either ignore or about which they tell lies. It is impossible to imagine that they simply don’t know the truth. Possibly they are slowly seeing the error of their ways.

Well, some people do know the truth and fortunately they are making it available to the public. I hope that this extra exposure helps and that the public are starting to get the message.

The main non-truth issue is that the media are complicit in promulgating, and therefore unfortunately being believed by the general public, lies being told by the US and UK leaders about chemical weapon use by the Syrian army when it is actually the rebels who are using them, together with a great deal of other Western supplied arms and weapons.

Even the UN are now trying to dissociate themselves from supporting the rebels by clearly naming the US as the prime mover of supplying weapons and support against the elected Syrian government.

In perfect Bush-like fashion, President Obama has invented a bogus pretense for military intervention in yet another Middle East country. The president’s claim that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons — and thus crossed Obama’s imaginary “red line” — will likely fool very few Americans, who already distrust their president after the massive NSA spying scandal.

Obama has officially started down a path that inevitably leads to full-scale war. At this point the Obama administration thinks it has already invested too much military, financial, and diplomatic capital into the Syrian conflict to turn back, and each step forward brings the U.S. closer to a direct military intervention.

Much like Obama’s spying program, few Americans knew that the United States was already involved, neck deep, with the mass killings occurring in Syria. For example, Obama has been directly arming the Syrian rebels for well over a year. The New York Times broke the story that the Obama administration has — through the CIA — been illegally trafficking thousands of tons of guns to the rebels from the dictatorships of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. If not for these Obama-trafficked guns, thousands of deaths would have been prevented and the Syrian conflict over.

But even after the gun trafficking story broke, the mainstream media largely ignored it, and continued “reporting” that the U.S. has only been supplying the Syrian rebels with “non-lethal aid,” a meaningless term in a war setting, since all military aid  directly assists in the business of killing.

The U.S. media also buried the truth behind the ridiculous chemical weapons claims by the Obama administration, which, like Bush’s WMDs, are based on absolutely no evidence. Having learned nothing from Iraq, the U.S. media again shamelessly regurgitates the “facts” as spoon-fed to them by the government, no questions asked. In reality, however, a number of  independent chemical weapons experts have publicly spoken out against Obama’s accusations.

The U.S. media also refuses to ask: on what authority does the United States have to determine the usage of chemical weapons in other countries? This is the job of the UN. What has the UN said on the matter?

Top UN rights investigator Carla del Ponte said:

“According to the testimonies we have gathered, the [Syrian] rebels have used chemical weapons, making use of sarin gas.”

Again, the “rebels” have used chemical weapons, not the Syrian
government, according to the UN representative. Many analysts have pointed out the obvious fact that the Syrian government would have zero military or political motive to use chemical weapons, especially when they have access to much more effective conventional weapons. Obama’s Bush-like lies are too familiar to the American public, who overwhelmingly do not support military intervention in Syria, or giving direct military aide to the Syrian rebels.

What has the UN said on giving military aid to the rebels?

UN chief Ban Ki-moon has called the Obama’s decision “a bad idea” and “not helpful…………..”

Health and Medical Processes – The relationship is sometimes blurry.

Staphylococcus Aureus

Staphylococcus Aureus (Photo credit: PNNL – Pacific Northwest National Laboratory)

Having just battled with my conscience and principles on another post related to a medical issue, the temptation to favour information, what I believe to be truth, and the public deserving all available advice as being more important, leads also to this post.

The publisher of this information is pushing its barrow to sell more information and I have no wish to help in that regard. Nevertheless, there is much to be learned and considered about matters which cannot be  simply dismissed as irrelevant, exaggerated, incorrect or misleading. Strong stuff, but it’s born out sufficiently by facts.

From “Agora Health” some of its promotion via an email obtained on free subscription:

Special Investigation by Andrew Miller, Publisher of

the Journal of Natural Health Solutions: London.

On Friday, September 27th 2002, behind the closed doors of the 42nd Inter-Science Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy in San Diego, USA, a hushed international assembly of top doctors, bacteriologists and government officials finally heard the news they’d been dreading…

Scientists from the Center For Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia had just confirmed their worst fears by reporting the first ever case of vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus  Aureus (VRSA) infection.

The ‘unthinkable’ had finally happened.

A ‘super’ strain of  the bacteria staphylococcus aureus had finally found a way to become resistant to medicine’s ‘big gun’ antibiotic, vancomycin — our last line of defence against superbugs. (Source: Staphylococcus aureus resistant to vancomycin – United States, 2002. MMWR. Morb Mortal Wkly Rep. 2002;51:565-567)

In simple language, what this meant for you and me  — and for the population of the planet — was that we had just LOST the battle against one of the most virulent superbugs known to mankind.
