Obama Adopts UN Codex Alimentarius to Collaborate With Drug Corporations

Source: Blacklisted News   (H/T TIP)

By Susanne Posel
Occupy Corporatism

The US government will assist the pharmaceutical corporations in finding prescription drugs to treat new diseases.

The focus of this collaboration will identify new uses for drugs that have already been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There may be need for new human trials, putting the general public at a health risk. Engaging in experimental trials to classify specific compounds to be utilized for unintended purposes is highly dangerous.

Genetic engineering has led researchers to discover over 4,500 diseases that need pharmaceutical drugs to combat.

‘We need to speed the pace at which we are turning discoveries into better health outcomes,’ said Dr. Francis Collins, of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). ‘NIH looks forward to working with our partners in industry and academia to tackle an urgent need that is beyond the scope of any one organization or sector.’

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will begin working with Pfizer Inc, AstraZeneca Plc and Eli Lilly and Co. in agreements to create compounds to be made available for trial use in a planned project.

‘Americans are eagerly awaiting the next generation of cures and treatments to help them live longer and healthier lives,’ Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a statement. ‘To accelerate our nation’s therapeutic development process, it is essential that we forge strong, innovative, and strategic partnerships across government, academia, and industry.’

The pharmaceutical corporations are able to manipulate the FDA because the regulatory agency does not conduct independent studies on trial results. They simply accept the findings of the drug companies on their own trials.

Currently, the vitamin industries, by order of the Codex Alimentarius (CA) are being attacked by the US government to justify the force outlawing of natural medicine use.

The CA is a creation of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The CA seeks to enforce international standards and codes on nations in a securitization of the world’s food supply.

By controlling the means of food production, transportation and distribution, the CA will ensure the standards set forth by the UN are the basis for all national legislation.

Obama signed Executive Order (EO), Establishing the National Prevention, Health Promotion and Public Health Council in 2010.

Through this EO, Obama empowered the CA to enact the UN’s plan for worldwide food standards.

The National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council was created to assist Obama in destroying the alternative health industry.

Congress fought the use of CA policy as the foundation for an attempt by the federal government to remove the American public’s ability to purchase vitamin supplements by deeming those remedies as “unscientific”. Since the FDA have consistently claimed that these alternatives have no medicinal value and decried their daily use a danger to a healthy lifestyle, social stigmas have served to aid Obama in declaring them useless. Obama suggests that their potency be changed to ultra-low levels in compound mixtures.

While the Obama administration seeks to wipe out the natural medicine industry, the US government is pouring money and resources into the genetic engineering of pharmaceuticals to combat disease.

When natural remedies are completely outlawed, the general public will be forced to take drugs rather than heal through diet and vitamins.

The medical agenda is clear.

The relationship between the US government and the drug corporations created by Obama has laid the foundation for medical tyranny.

Why marriage is so challenging and what you can do about it on Mental Health Exposed

Rita and John's Marriage Certificate

Rita and John’s Marriage Certificate (Photo credit: mary hodder)

A significant deviation from the usual themes of world-shattering issues. We are brought right back into the home where conflict, unrest and the search for health and happiness are intertwined with the relationships of marriage and partnerships.

No magic answers right here, but the article is thought-provoking and links to many sources of potential guidance and assistance. In particular, it highlights the merit of stopping and thinking outside of the self, instead of inside. Somewhat promotional but much to be gained without going all the way (so to speak).

By: Mike Bundrant, posted on ‘Natural News

(NaturalNews) We’re talking about marriage today on Mental Health Exposed with world renown marriage experts Dr. Peter Pearson and Dr. Ellyn Bayder of the Couple’s Institute. Marriage, or any long-term romantic relationship, is one of the pillars of life. Our reproductive efforts are grounded in such relationships. Emotional health is tied to the stability of long-term relationships. There are even studies that suggest married people live longer.
Published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, a new study found that, compared with married people, people who are widowed are 40 percent more likely to die, people who are divorced or separated are 27 percent more likely to die, and people who have never married were 58 percent more likely to die.
Yet, most people find marriage difficult, a lifelong struggle, and most marriages end in divorce. Moreover, the following recent study revealed what is on the minds of married women.
In a much-discussed recent study of 35,000 American women, published in the July issue of Woman’s Day, 72 percent of married women said they had considered leaving their husbands. Seventy-nine percent said they’d like sex more often, and 52 percent said they have no sex life to speak of. When you combine all the tedious tasks the average woman has, usually carrying the bulk of the burden in a modern family, with little sexual fulfillment or emotional intimacy, you have a recipe for divorce.

Why is marriage so challenging?

This is the primary question I put to our guests on this episode. I have never heard a more intelligent, informed and clear response! The reason we inevitably walk into marital challenges brings instant relief once you understand it. Of course, the answer to this question also reveals the path toward resolution of problems and a less conflictual, more fulfilling marriage.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Ellyn Bader and Dr. Peter Pearson have been helping couples resolve issues and create strong, loving relationships. Ellyn and Peter have been featured on over 50 radio shows and on television including The Today Show and CBS Early Morning News. The Bader-Pearson approach is known for its practical applications that help you and your partner create enduring love.

Drs. Bader and Pearson have prepared a special educational video for listeners of Mental Health Exposed

Free of charge, you can go to a special page on their website, mentioned on the show, and watch a video of them resolving a conflict in their own marriage. They will educate, enlighten and entertain you with the challenges they have faced as a couple, and how they overcame them to build a strong marriage.
Ellyn and Peter are the authors of Tell Me No Lies. This book tells you how to face the truth and build a loving marriage. They also wrote In Quest of the Mythical Mate, a textbook for couples therapists that is now in its 16th printing. This book won the Clark Vincent Award from the California Association of Marital & Family Therapists for its outstanding contribution to the field of marital therapy.

10 tips for companion planting for natural pest control and organic sustainability – Increase vegetable yields and improve flavor

(NaturalNews) Companion planting for pest control and to encourage plants to grow with more vigor has fascinated men for centuries; however, few backyard gardeners know how to use these natural methods for organic sustainability and how to improve your garden. Plants that work together to help one another grow; plants that repel insects for organic pest management; and plants that repel other plants for natural herbicide control are of great value to both small backyard gardeners and commercial growers.
Certain protective botanicals don’t always act instantaneously, and must be planted several years or seasons in advance to be of utmost cumulative effect. For example, companion planting pest control using marigolds to prevent nematode growth should be done at least one season ahead before expecting to see great results.
It’s important to remember that both secretions and odors from various plants are valuable traits for organic pest control and companion planting where repelling or attracting certain aspects and effects is attempted.

Ten easy companion planting tips for to use now

Companion planting for chemical free pesticides and organic sustainability is a huge subject that can take years to master; however, there are a few easy things you can do in your own garden right now to make use of this intriguing method of gardening.
1. Protect carrots by planting them with leeks to repel both carrot and onion flies. They won’t even lay their eggs and your yield will increase tremendously.
2. Growing radishes or kohlrabi? Plant them with lettuce to repel earth flies that hate the smell of lettuce and make them take flight.
3. Aphids will injure almost all plants, causing headaches for gardeners everywhere. To repel aphids, plant nasturiums around broccoli and bunches of chives among sunflowers and tomatoes to discourage infestations.
4. Ladybugs are natural enemies to aphids and are excellent for use in organic pest management. Order ladybugs in bulk online or buy them from gardening centers. If you’re wondering how to improve your garden and reduce the aphid population, this is one of the most effective methods of doing so.
5. Asparagus and tomatoes complement one another and improve the vigor of both plants. Place a row of asparagus between two rows of tomato plants.
6. Beans and potatoes work in concert for organic pest control. Planting bush beans with potatoes in alternating rows protects the spuds from the Colorado potato beetle and the beans from the Mexican bean beetle.
7. Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables belonging to the cabbage family do well when companion planted with celery, dill, peppermint, sage and rosemary; as well as potatoes, onions and beets.
8. Repel moles around a vegetable garden with a border of castor beans; mice with a border of daffodils; and yarrow makes a wonderful boarder for an herb garden as it encourages the growth of essential oils in the herbs.
9. Remember that companion planting for pest control includes keeping those cute little rabbits out of the garden. Onions repel rabbits and can be inter-planted with peas, beans, lettuce and cabbage.
10. If your garden attracts raccoons, plant corn and pumpkins together so that the large pumpkin leaves grow around the base of the corn stalks. Cayenne pepper sprinkled on the corn silk will also act as a deterrent.
Because some plants are poisonous, it’s important to keep unattended young children away from the garden. Natural organic pest control may be a complex subject; however, there are many simple things you can do in to improve your garden for increased vegetable yield and organic sustainability.

Gardasil May Cause Cancer

By , as posted on ‘Vactruth’

When we see the term “cancer vaccine” in connection with the HPV (human  papilloma virus) vaccine Gardasil we may naturally assume that  it prevents cervical cancer, yet there is no evidence whatsoever that this is the case. (1)  On the contrary, the term is incorrect because unbelievable though it may sound Gardasil may actually cause cancer. This fact is being ignored by Merck the manufacturer and other promoters including doctors and health authorities.

NOT TESTED FOR CARCINOGENICITY

Information in the package insert states that the vaccine has not been tested for carcinogenicity. (2) Why has this not been done?  Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!  There appears to be no official requirement for vaccines to be tested for carcinogenicity and no incentive for manufacturers to do so.  Many experts consider that vaccines are conducive towards the dramatic worldwide increase in cancer cases.

REPLACEMENT MAY CAUSE DEVELOPMENT OF CANCER

A normal phenomenon in virology is that virus strains which have been removed are replaced by new ones.  It is not known by anyone, including the vaccine manufacturer  whether the new virus strains are more carcinogenic than the original ones which have been removed.

The chief editor of the Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association, immunologist Charlotte Haug writes about several unanswered questions including that of replacement in her article “We Need to Talk about HPV Vaccination – Seriously”:

Abhorred vacuum. There is another serious question that may be answered sooner:  what effect will the vaccine have on the other cancer-causing strains of HPV? Nature never leaves a void, so if HPV-16 and HPV-18  are suppressed by an effective vaccine, other strains of the virus will take their place. The question is, will these strains cause cervical cancer?

Results from clinical trials are not encouraging. Vaccinated women show an increased number of precancerous lesions caused by strains of HPV other than HPV-16 and HPV-18. The results are not statistically significant, but if the trend is real – and further clinical trials should tell us in a few years – there is reason for serious concern. (3)

In an article in the New England Journal of Medicine  “ Human Papilloma Virus Vaccination – Reasons for Caution”,  Dr. Haug again poses the question of replacement:

“How will the vaccine affect other oncogenic strains of HPV? If HPV-16 and HPV-18 are effectively suppressed, will there be selective pressure on the remaining strains of HPV? Other strains may emerge as significant oncogenic serotypes”. (4)

Replacement was obviously one of several  unanswered questions when FDA, Merck and the Norwegian government signed a contract which involved research studies on  thousands of young Norwegian schoolgirls. The agreement was that Gardasil would be approved in US under the condition that extensive research projects were carried out in Norway. There was implication of corruption in connection with introduction of Gardasil in the childrens’ vaccination program. (5)

The contract includes this statement from FDA to Merck:

“You have committed to conduct a study in collaboration with the Norwegian Government, if GARDASIL  is approved in the European Union and the Government of Norway incorporates HPV vaccination into its national guidelines, to assess the impact of HPV vaccination on the following in Norway … to assess whether administration of GARDASIL will result in replacement of these diseases due to vaccine HPV types with diseases due to non-vaccine HPV types.” (6)

ABNORMAL PAP SMEARS AFTER GARDASIL VACCINATION

It is worrying to note that many cases of abnormal Pap smears, cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer are registered after Gardasil vaccination. Reports from VAERS, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System regarding HPV vaccines are regularly published by SaneVax.(7) The numbers registered with VAERS may be as low as one percent of the actual cases.

Occupy organic vegetable gardens – Rebirth of the Victory garden

community victory gardens, Boston MA

community victory gardens, Boston MA (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

by: JB Bardot, as posted on ‘Natural News’ linked here.

(NaturalNews) During World Wars I and II, private citizens were encouraged to plant Victory gardens in an effort to support the war effort and take the strain off the food industry, providing more food for citizens living at home. Little gardens popped up all over the country and they were called Victory gardens because people envisioned a victorious end to strife, sadness and hardship. Victory gardens in the U.S. produced a staggering 40% of the food supply. The Victory garden campaign resulted in 5 million gardens tended by over 20 million Americans, providing over $1.2 billion in food by the end of WWII.
Victory gardens were planted on every available plot of land — whether postage-stamp sized or covering several acres. The gardening campaign took the country by storm, with people being empowered by raising their own fresh, organic (because there wasn’t anything else back then) fruits and vegetables; coupled with the hope of victory over adversity and better times to come.
Recently, a renewed interest in creating organic home vegetable gardens has arisen in the U.S., especially with the advent of genetically modified (GM) seeds and foods taking over shelves in grocery stores across the country. Gardens of all kinds are sprouting and flourishing in containers, on backyard fences, on decks, pallets and even in the earth. Many of the new gardens are being grown with organic, heirloom seeds to avoid the suspicious pitfalls of GM seeds. Creative methods of watering and fertilizing complement new garden ideas.
What’s all the excitement about? The concept of victory over adversity in an economy that has broken millions of citizens and torn apart age-old communities still straining with the burden of war, has again reared its hopeful head from under the trash heap of discarded junk food and processed packages of chemicals and crap.
Backyard gardens promise natural foods that fortify and nurture the body and the earth; along with the freedom to choose what to plant and what to eat — offering a new version of an old way of living.

How to occupy your vegetable garden

How can you participate in this grassroots side of the occupy movement? Plant a garden! Even if you only have a small patio hanging 30 floors above street level in the middle of a smog-filled city, get a few containers and some good dirt and plant organic heirloom seeds to grow tomatoes and herbs.
Learn about companion planting for natural pest control. Companion planting not only helps manage insects and other bothersome critters; it’s a platform for planting seeds that help each other grow stronger and increases overall yields.
Compost, compost, compost. Throw your garden and cooking leftovers (fruits and veggies only, please) in an organic, bio-degradable compost pile and make your own dirt.
Teach your kids how to garden and grow their own food so they don’t have to be dependent on the corrupt system.
If you don’t want to garden yourself, offer some of your property to your neighbors for a community garden. Help them buy supplies in trade for some of the bounty they grow on your land.
Learn about biodynamic gardening, organic composting, heirloom seeds, raised beds, vertical gardening, natural irrigation methods, rain water collection and ideal areas for planting and pasturing fruit trees.
It doesn’t take much to plant seeds in your garden. It’s your right to choose what you put on your dining table and in your mouth, Plant a Victory garden and occupy your vegetable patch with earthly delights — big or small. Add real fruits and vegetables to your diet and put health back into your life.

Vaccinations – Measles – UNICEF

Nothing to add! Just please read the story.

The Vaccine Xchange

UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund) launched a program asking people to “Give Your Mum Measles This Mother’s Day.” As the press release explains:

For less than the cost of a postage stamp, you can help save a life this mother’s day. Measles kills 450 people every day, yet can be easily prevented with a 31-cent vaccine. A gift of fab jabs from UNICEF will protect 100 kids from measles for just $31.*

The article goes on to state that “UNICEF is the largest procurer of vaccines in the world.”

Unsurprisingly, as the biggest consumer of vaccines, UNICEF partners with the very same companieswho sell them: Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, and Pfizer, to name a few of the organization’s “major corporate partners.” However, what should come as a shock to people is the fact that the vaccines UNICEF provides are not always the safest ones. UNICEF still uses the

World Energy and Population – Trends 2007 to 2100

This introduces a gem of a post on a subject of global importance, one on which civilization itself, depends.

Not a new article – Original text: World Energy And Population, by Paul Chefurka, October 2007, it is an extensive, in-depth study of the resources, reserves, utilization of the world’s energy production, together with the directly related global population.

One needs to be a keen student to handle all the ramifications, it might satisfy some readers just to skim through the original text and get the gist. Anyone who is seriously interested will find a wealth of research and commentary.

There may be areas open to interpretation and debate, in which case, questions are best put to the author.  Here are two extracts, the beginning and the ending:

“Remarks: The causal link between energy and population in this paper is essentially intuitive. While it seems reasonable, “proving” that causality is difficult. However, if the linkage is valid,  the consequences for humanity of any overall decline in energy supplies are too dire to be ignored.

For conclusions on medium term global energy supplies you can consult the later article “World Energy to 2050” .

Abstract

Throughout history, the expansion of human population has been supported by a steady growth in our use of energy. Our present industrial civilization wholly depends on access to a very large amount of energy of various types. If the availability of this energy were to decline significantly it could have serious repercussions for civilization and the human population it supports. This paper shows production models for the various energy sources we use and projections of their likely evolution out to the year 2100. The full picture is then translated into a population model based on an estimate of changing average per-capita energy consumption over the century. Finally, the impact of ecological damage is added to the model to arrive at a final population estimate.

This model, known as the “World Energy and Population” model, or WEAP, suggests that the world’s population will decline significantly over the course of the century.

Introduction

During the global industrialization, the level of human population has been closely related to the amount of energy we have used. Over the last forty years, the per capita energy consumption has averaged about 1.5 tonnes of oil equivalent (toe) per person per year, rising from a global average of 1.2 toe per person in 1966 to 1.7 toe per person in 2006. As the global energy supply tripled over that time, the population has doubled.

Figure 1 shows the close relationship between global energy consumption, world GDP and global population and implies that an overall increase in the energy supply has supported the increase in population.

Figure 1: World Energy, GDP and Population, 1965 to 2003″

“Conclusion

All the research I have done for this paper has convinced me that the human race is now out of time. We are staring at hard limits on our activities and numbers, imposed by energy constraints and ecological damage. There is no time left to mitigate the situation, and no way to bargain or engineer our way out of it. It is what it is, and neither Mother Nature nor the Laws of Physics are open to negotiation.

We have come to this point so suddenly that most of us have not yet realized it. While it may take another twenty years for the full effects to sink in, the first impacts from oil depletion (the net oil export crisis) will be felt within five years. Given the size of our civilization and the extent to which we rely on energy in all its myriad forms, five years is far too short a time to accomplish any of the unraveling or re-engineering it would take to back away from the precipice. At this point we are committed to going over the edge into a major population reduction.

However, this does not mean that we should adopt a fatalistic stance and assume there is nothing to be done. In fact nothing could be further from the truth. The need for action is more urgent now than ever. Humanity is not going to go extinct. There are going to be massive and ever-growing numbers of people in dire need for the foreseeable future. We need to start now to put systems, structures and attitudes in place that will help them cope with the difficulties, find happiness where it exists and thrive as best they can. We need to develop new ways of seeing the world, new ways of seeing each other, new values and ethics. We need to do this with the aim of minimizing the misery and ensuring that as many healthy, happy people as possible emerge from this long trauma with the skills and knowledge needed to build the next cycle of civilization.

Demand your liberties before they are taken

This article by Greg Barns, ABC News, DRUM (Australia) is a very bad omen for our (Australian) future. Of course I mean its contents, not the article itself.

Last week was a busy one for Attorney-General Nicola Roxon and a dangerous one for the citizens of this nation.

Ms Roxon announced on May 4 that she wanted to give law enforcement agencies the power to bug phones and intercept emails for up to six months, and on the same day she, and her junior minister Jason Clare, announced a series of agreements with the US secretary of homeland security Janet Napolitano on data sharing.

These two announcements ought to alarm Australians because both potentially involve major incursions into, and erosion of, liberties. And without Australia having the protection of a national human rights law, there will be no chance to declare any such laws unconstitutional or inconsistent with human rights.

Ms Roxon has requested the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Intelligence and Security look at changes to existing national security laws so that ASIO and other agencies like the Australian Federal Police can intercept telecommunications for six months before having to renew their power – currently it is a 90-day limit.

There would also be super warrants, so called because they allow a single warrant to intercept a person’s phones, computer and any other communication tool. The Attorney-General will also get the power to vary the terms of warrants.

There is also a proposal to give government the opportunity to impose a heavy hand on telecommunications providers, with Ms Roxon asking the committee to “consult on measures to address security risks posed to the telecommunications sector, and whether the Government needs to institute obligations on the Australian telecommunications industry to protect their networks from unauthorised interference”.

Ms Roxon boasts that the public will have a say on national security laws, but given that the last attorney-general not to be captured by ASIO and the law-and-order control junkies in the attorney-general’s department was Whitlam government minister Lionel Murphy back in the 1970s, one can assume that Ms Roxon’s boast is a hollow one.

This announcement got little airplay last week, yet if the proposals become law, they will have a major impact on our rights.

Imagine, for example, how a Julian Assange would have been dealt with under these laws. It would have been ridiculously easy for ASIO and others to surveil every device Mr Assange used – his mobile phone, laptop, iPad and whatever else.

If he were found to be getting his hands on some decent leaks which the government did not want to see the light of day, then the attorney-general could vary the warrant to ensure such materials were captured. There would be no scrutiny by a court for six months.

To make it easier for the Australian government to keep tabs on you, Ms Roxon is also proposing that telecommunications companies keep data for two years. This means that if someone comes to the attention of the law enforcement agencies, they can trawl through every email, text message and phone number.

All of a person’s life can be exposed to a curious ASIO agent, and the subject of the warrant will never know.

Alarming stuff indeed, and it is now coupled with vaguely worded statements made by Ms Roxon and her US counterpart Ms Napolitano last week. Two of those statements should elicit questions from the media and those with an interest in liberty.

One was a joint statement on countering transnational crime, terrorism and violent extremism “which commits Australia and the US to share law-enforcement data to combat crime and expand information sharing to counter violent extremism”.

What does “violent extremism” mean in this context, one might ask? Environmental groups and the Occupy movement might fall into this category if seen through conservative eyes. And should an Australian government be handing over to the US data about its own citizens without their being judicial safeguards in place?

The second statement related to Australia “working more closely with the US on information and intelligence sharing. In particular, targeting and risk assessments to combat transnational organised crime, including terrorism”.

This is phenomenally and worryingly broad. Would Julian Assange‘s WikiLeaks have come within the realm of transnational organised crime? Our Prime Minister seems to think so. And what if the Australian government provides information about an individual who is completely innocent of any association with organised crime or terrorism and that person is refused entry into the United States? Will that person have any redress?

When it comes to national security and sharing data with other nations, the need for protections, safeguards and redress by individuals wronged should be of paramount importance because the consequences for them and their family of being entangled in that shadowy and brutal world can be life-threatening.

Yet both of Ms Roxon’s announcements seem not important enough for the media to pursue. They are too interested in the short-term low-hanging fruit of former Labor MP Craig Thompson and the Speaker Peter Slipper.

No doubt, however, when Ms Roxon has her way and there is a scandalous case of abuse of power by ASIO, the AFP or their American counterparts the media will get interested. By then it will be too late to awake our community to the fact that the curtailment of liberty in this country is marching along without any real check or scrutiny.

Those readers familiar with this blog will understand the degree of concern this raises in regard to citizens’ rights being rapidly destroyed, in relation to the emerging influence over all countries from a centralised government agenda.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that the Julia Gillard government, {from the time Julia rudely ousted Kevin Rudd, (after saying she was more likely to be a football coach than challenge the leadership), and campaigned for and is introducing a carbon tax, (after her statement that “no government she leads will introduce a carbon tax”),  to her aligning herself (and unfortunately, our country) with Obama and approving US military presence in Australia}, are not running this country but are being told what to do from higher above.

Here we have more such evidence. Australians, be aware!

It is heartening to see this appearing in the media, well done Greg, and the ABC!
