It never fails to astound me how much faith we put in the modern political system to do our bidding (after all we are the taxpayers), considering they are there – where they are, with all the lurks and perks, because we elected them to represent us in Australia and in the World. This faith is sadly misplaced on many occasions,

I don’t believe anyone in Australia would argue that the Carbon Tax being imposed within the next month was not something the electorate asked for or truly desired.
